About Us
Our Story
What started as a husband & wife just earning some extra money back in 2016 has grown to what we are today. We started with one single truck that Daikota operated while Ashley did the books in their kitchen.
From there we expanded. We now have a total of 4 partners who share in this operation. We started in our previous location down the road in August of 2020, with one hoist and soon grew far past capacity & decided to expand again.

Today, we are in our current location and operations have grown significantly. We now offer a wide range of services, as found on our "Services" page. Even though the space has grown, we still pride ourselves in the "Mom & Pop Shop" mentality.
Who we are...
Lonestar Auto Repair & Towing Ltd. is now owned by: Daikota & Ashley Tanner, Jerry Slater & Cody Hobelsberger.

Who you'll find at the shop...
DAIKOTA TANNER
Daikota is our Shop Foreman & Journeyman Automotive Mechanic. With over 12 years of experience that he brings to the table, he specializes in diesel engines. That being said, he will work on almost anything and everything! He also operates the tow trucks, answers phones, you name it!

ASHLEY TANNER
Ashley is our General Manager, overseeing operations. You'll find her upfront making invoices, on the phone, filing papers & keeping the kids in line. (Both figuratively & literally.) Ashley brings over 10 years of experience in the towing & automotive industry with her.

CODY HOBELSBERGER
Cody is our Parts Manager, Radiator Technician & Fire Extinguisher Technician. Cody has over 5 years of parts experience as a Journeyman Parts Person and multiple years in the industry as well as over 2 years of experience with radiators & fire extinguishers. Whether on the phone or in person, Cody is sure to greet you with enthusiasm!

LENNY LANEGRAFF
Lenny is our Heavy Duty Mechanic. With several years of experience on heavy trucks & trailers as well as busses, Lenny is versatile and knowledgeable!

PIERCE JOHNSON
Pierce is our automotive apprentice as well as tow truck operator. He started with us when we expanded operations in 2020 as a high school student and has followed us as we've grown.

STEPH WELLS
Steph has been our administrator since May of '21 and has been learning the ropes up front in ordering parts and making work orders. She can be found up front answering your questions & keeping the books organized!

KADEN DUCHERER
Kaden has been with us since Nov '21 as our "high school kid" but has been working with our techs, assisting in oil changes & growing his knowledge on radiator repairs.

JAMES & RYLEE TANNER
Son & daughter of Daikota & Ashley. Even though these two aren't "employed" here, they'll be the first ones to greet you many times and will sit and talk your ear off when in our waiting room. Once in a while you might even catch James in the shop helping sweep or take our the grabages!

ROCKY
Word has definitely travelled and often when someone comes in, one of the first questions we get is "Where is this cat that everyone talks about?" Rocky is our shop feline. He's incredibly friendly and laid back, often greeting customers & doing a poor job of mice control. He was brought in as a mouser but has become a door greeter.
